​Thank you for choosing Old Man Mushrooms. Because we specialize in made-to-order substrates and grain services, our shipping process is designed to ensure you receive the freshest possible product for your cultivation projects.
​Production Lead Times
​All orders are prepared fresh to ensure maximum sterility and moisture content.
​Standard Orders: Typically processed and prepared within 3–5 business days.
​Custom Mixes: Large or highly specific custom substrate orders may require up to 7 business days to ensure proper hydration and sterilization cycles.
​Shipping Within Australia
​We primarily ship via Australia Post and select courier services to ensure reliable delivery from our base in yarra valley.
​Flat Rate & Calculated Shipping: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and your location.
​Delivery Times: Once dispatched, standard shipping generally takes 3–7 business days, depending on your proximity to Victoria.
​Local Pickup (Wonthaggi Region)
​For our local growers in and around Wonthaggi, we offer a local pickup option to save on shipping costs.
​Select "Local Pickup" at checkout.
​Once your order is ready, we will contact you via email or SMS to arrange a convenient time for collection.
​Packaging & Quality Control
​Substrates and grains are sealed in professional-grade grow bags with micron filter patches.
​We use sturdy, discrete packaging to ensure your items arrive intact and ready for inoculation.
​Note: Please inspect your package upon arrival. If you notice any compromised seals or damage during transit, contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
​Returns & Cancellations
​Due to the perishable and sterile nature of custom-made substrates and grains, we cannot accept returns once the item has been shipped.
​Cancellations: Must be requested within 24 hours of placing your order to receive a full refund.
​Replacements: If a product arrives damaged or contaminated prior to opening, please provide photos, and we will work with you on a replacement.
